Includes some excellent photos of species found in Newfoundland and Labrador. From
Stuart Tingley. [No response the last time the link was checked]
- Butterflies
North and South
A peculiar site, dealing with butterflies of both Canada and Peru! Burdened
by overdone graphics, too many frames, and needless sound files. However, there is much here to
interest Newfoundland butterfly enthusiasts.
- Butterflies of Nova Scotia; [The]
Billed as a checklist, but includes images and species accounts.
- Butterfly WebSite [The] Primarily
about butterfly gardening, conservation, and education. But not limited to these topics.
MANY, diverse, butterfly links, and lists of links. Pretty amazing!
- Web Images of North American Moth Species For many species, there are images of
LARVAE as well as adults! Yeah! An American site, but largely applicable to our area. HUGE! Astounding!
- Gordon Ramel's
Wonderful World of Insects website. Excellent and useful site. Huge! Contains more than
just insects. If it has jointed legs and doesn't live in the sea, it's probably
here! Have a look! RECOMMENDED. Index to sub-pages included on this page.
- Index to
the Compendium of Hexapod Classes and Orders Excellent.
- Insect and Spider
Collections of the World Web Site, [The] A clearing house of information on the
insect and spider collections of the world. The information presented is based
primarily on the 1993 book, "The Insect and Spider Collections of the World", 2nd
edition, by R.H. Arnett, G.A. Samuelson & G.M. Nishida, with substantial
additions and corrections.
- Insectes du Québec sur Internet
An amazing site with wonderful images. A bit hard to navigate at first, but well worth the effort. [In French]
- Newfoundland Insectarium, [The]
A
great place to visit! Located in Deer Lake, at the Humber River Bridge.
